Privacy Policy

Information shared between client and counselor is deemed private and cannot be shared with other agencies, individuals or other entities without the expressed written consent of the client. However there are exceptions to this policy which include:

- Suspected abuse of a child, adult or other dependent adult abuse

- Threats of serious bodily harm to another individual by the client

- Intent of a client to harm themselves

In these instances we would take appropriate measures to enlist client cooperation for safety however it is required by law for the counselor to take additional measures (with or without client permission) to ensure their safety and/or the safety of others.
